ICE AGE ART AND THE BEAR CULT

Ice Age Art and The Bear Cult by Philipp C Grote is a book that explores the cultural connections contained in the imagery stretching through thousands of years from prehistory, right into the ice age.

 

It is an invitation to take an unprecedented look at the images of ice age art, as well as at the ancient shamanic cultures that produced them. The focus of the book is to highlight the cultural currents that link us to the ages.

 

Philipp is an artist and counsellor who has a deep fascination with human culture and expression, dating from his early days as an artist in East-Berlin after the fall of the wall.

 

As part of the research for this book he has retraced over a hundred images, providing rich and detailed illustrations.
